These are relaxing journeys with ample time to explore the shore and sea, visit the ancient sites, or just be at leisure. Our scheduled departures offer two different cruising itineraries. The Bodrum - Marmaris cruise departs from Bodrum, a delightful resort town on the Aegean coast, and home to the renowned Castle of St. Peter and the site of ancient Halicarnassus. Here we explore the colorful weekly food market, acquainting ourselves with the plentiful local vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices and other foodstuffs that play such a major role in the Aegean region's cuisine, before boarding our vessel in the harbor to begin our voyage along this ancient coastline. Our cruising area is the Datca and Hisaronu peninsulas, one of the most scenic areas of the Turquoise Coast. One highlight of our cruise is a visit to the Olive Farm for an opportunity to taste high quality Turkish olive oil. Exploring the antiquities en route is another attraction of this journey. These include Knidos, the remains of a Dorian port city famed in antiquity for its cult of Aphrodite; the extraordinary ruins and rock tombs at Caunos; and the well-preserved remains of the Hellenistic fortress at Loryma. The Bodrum- Marmaris cruise is 8 days in length, including one overnight in Bodrum. The Gocek-Gocek cruise journeys through ancient Lycia in the Mediterranean, an area strewn with antique cities and rock tombs and considered by many to be one of the most beautiful parts of the Turquoise coast. The underwater ruins at Aperlae, the sunken city at Kekova, the the delightful harbor towns of Kas and Kalkan - these are some of the extraordinary destinations on this journey. This cruise is 8 days in length, including one overnight in Bodrum at the start of our journey. Our gulets are comfortable, 21 to 25 meters (80 ft) in length, with large forward and aft sections for lounging, and a spacious interior salon. During fine weather, dining takes place outside on the aft deck. Cabins usually number 6 to 8 with bathrooms ensuite. Our 3 person crew includes a captain, chef and steward. Maximum number of participants is 10; minimum is 6.
